Please help me find a sweatshirt

I fancy a really nice sweatshirt to take on holiday (in the UK). Not a hoodie as the bulk annoys me! Im torn between something quite simple, probably navy, or going a bit bonkers with bright colours/patterns. I’m also very small, 5’2 and 7.5 stone so nothing too oversized as I’ll just look daft. Please hit me with your recommendations! Price isn’t first consideration but probably wouldn’t want to pay more than around £50.

Scamp and Dude if you decide to go colourful

Askinvillarblues · 24/07/2021 10:59

Oh wow, the Scamp and Dude ones are definitely colourful! Absolutely love them, not sure I’m quite confident enough to pull them off though 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is gorgeous!
It’s in XS and S.

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 24/07/2021 11:03

Oliver Bonas have some good options.

Miseryisabutterfly · 24/07/2021 11:11

Cos do really lovely sweatshirts but you would definitely need their smallest size!

Miseryisabutterfly · 24/07/2021 11:13

I have this one

Rapanui have some lovely ethical ones.

Rina66 · 24/07/2021 11:19

Have you looked at Neon Marl, they do some lovely sweatshirts, hoodies and t's. It's all they sell, loads of colours, designs and they're all sized.

I have an Abercrombie one, very soft. Size up.

https://www.lucydodwell.com I've not long got a lovely sweater from here. The quality is really lovely.

nordica · 25/07/2021 11:03

I think she has mostly sold out of her current adult ones but a small company called Wilder Ones does amazing sweatshirts.

I like the Lucy & Yak ones too but they are quite oversized so I suspect even the XS will be too big for you.

Nitgel · 25/07/2021 11:04

I have bought a couple from Crew in nice colours.

fiorentina · 25/07/2021 14:34

I’ve bought a bright blue one from Cos recently, one with slight frills from Jigsaw clearance and John Lewis sale had some great ones from various brands this week.

Rina66 · 25/07/2021 16:14

I was in Next today, they had some nice bright ones, coral, lilac, dark green leopard, cornflower blue....

Askinvillarblues · 26/07/2021 17:32

Ooh, lots of suggestions, thank you so much! I’ll spend some time this evening browsing through - although the more I look, the more I am tempted by the Scamp and Dude ones even though they are SO bright. Do they wash/wear well?

Honestly, just get a Scamp and Dude, they're really lovely.

Namechange58 · 26/07/2021 17:53

Joules have a gorgeous pink one, and a pale blue.... vintage looking. They are lovely.

I’ve got a couple from here - good quality.

Jemimapuddleduk · 26/07/2021 19:04

I wear a lot of scamp and dude. They are amazing, really soft and wash really well.

Askinvillarblues · 29/07/2021 13:57

Thanks for all the recommendations. I ordered a couple of sweatshirts from Scamp and Dude, but the colours I chose are just too bright - might return for something more muted. I ordered a hoodie too but the sizing seems different and it was massive. Forgot about Hollister so I’ve ordered one from there to try - postage is costing me a fortune 😭 - and will have a look through the other suggestions too. So much easier when I could just wander round the shops and things were actually available to try on!

How about something from this selection? www.superdry.com/womens/hoodies-and-sweatshirts#product_type=Sweatshirt|sorting=4|

shenanigans5 · 29/07/2021 18:12

I love superdry. It’s great for petite women as the sleeves aren’t too long and the sizing is on the small side. I have a couple of superdry sweatshirts from Next.
