Alternative to Veja trainers

I love the look of Veja trainers and am often on the verge of buying a pair but they are so ubiquitous now, particularly amongst the mums at my son's primary school. I just can't bring myself to wear them as they almost feel like a bit of a mum cliche as lovely as they look. What's a good alternative?

Not similar looking, but aimed at a similar demographic and very nice to wear: allbirds

Very light, comfy, understated and good green credentials.

Lol you ought to live round here, Veja trainers the mark of the middle class private school mum clone trying to climb the social ladder! Less chic and more sheep!!!

There was a stylist AMA I asked what white trainers she replied

You can't go wrong with Vejas at the moment but some people think they're too popular, I do love them personally. Adidas have done a collab on their stan smiths with net a porter for their sustainability range which I love and also the classic white superga. For a more trendy look, I'd go for new balance or if you're in to the chunky look, Adidas ozweego but they're a bit too trendy for me!

I also have trainers from air and Grace.

What is it with Veja? They are everywhere! I got some white Adidas gazelles recently. They are comfy.

My daughter has a beautiful pair of retro- looking Reebok's - slightly off-white with towelling inner and subtle pale blue logo. She says they are supremely comfy and they look great with everything.

Stan Smiths or Nike Internationalists.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wearing Veja trainers and had never heard of them until I read about them here! (South Norfolk). Here everyone is wearing Stan Smiths or converse. Or just sandals- mainly saltwaters or Tevas. It’s so interesting how things vary so much by area.

I don’t get the love for Veja’s I tried some on and they were really stiff and uncomfortable.
I’ll stick with my Nike Airforce 1
