I have very straight hair and always just worn it down and not done much too it. A trim every six months or so.

I've now, thanks to a lovely hairdresser who pushed me outside my comfort zone, I have layers and a fringe and shape! It looks great and I feel really makes me look like I've made an effort already!

But how do I keep it looking lovely? I literally shampoo condition and occasionally use a hair dryer on it but would like some nice products to help me keep it looking nice.

Any tips?

I use L’Oréal techni art volume lift mouse that my hair dresser recommended. It has a funny little nozzle that you aim into sections of your hair so you can get it into the roots but not overload. Even though it is predominantly a volume product I find it helps the rest of my hair stay in its blow dried style.

If you are looking for something to add texture you might get on well with styling dust as it’s very light weight and easy to distribute evenly.

Could you show us your hair OP? Might help with suggestions.

Is it long? Short? Fine? Thick?

It's still long, past my shoulders, on the finer side but lots of it. Hairdressers always comment on how much I have. Very straight and have a side fringe with layers in the length to take some of the weight out which has worked, it feels all light and swishy.

I also have fine, straight hair but lots of it.

I swear by Toni & Guy Volume Addiction shampoo and conditioner. I also use Toni & Guy products, they work really well with my hair.

Thank you for the suggestions, I'm going to try a bit of everything and see what works best. I guess I need day to day products and then some to help with styling it for an evening etc. I can't tell you how I literally own nothing Blush
