Controlling wispy ‘sideburn’ hairs

Basically the short wispy sideburn hairs that will tuck behind ears just about but don’t tend to stay there, I’ve tried clipping back with curby grips but the clips just end up sticking out. Any tips for taming these hairs? Looks a lot nicer when I hold them tight back out the way, so I just need a way of keeping them back. (I don’t want to shave them btw!) Thanks

I'm growing out a pixie cut so have the same problem. I've been using good old fashioned hair gel which seems to work well. Really looking forward to it getting to the stage it will tuck behind my ears nicely though!

My DD has loads of wispies. We spray with hairspray, comb them against the head before it dries so they lay down. Then repeat with another layer and lightly comb again with v light pressure, or just smooth with a hand. Repeat as necessary. If you get the strongest hold hairspray, that tends to do the job.

The only thing that’s ever kept mine down all day is when my mum used to use hair wax or strong gel when I was at school Grin I hate both so just spray with hairspray but it only works for a few hours!
