Moisturiser in a glass jar or a tin?

I would really like to change to a moisturiser that isn't packed in plastic.
I tried Pure Chimp banana moisturiser which is lovely, but a bit too greasy for me for under makeup.
White Rabbit was too scented for me, although I love their eye cream.
So can anyone recommend something suitable for dry skin with hardly any smell would be nice, or at least no floral type scent.

Benefit do a lovely moisturiser in a glass jar, but I can't remember if it has a smell

Have a look at the Edinburgh skincare company. I'm coveting their solid hand cream bars. I think ethique might do a moisturiser bar now too.

Most of neals yard is in glass jars www.nealsyardremedies.com/skincare/organic-facial-skincare/facial-moisturisers.list

What about recycled/recyclable plastic or is that a no? It’s just that glass is not usually chosen for skincare products because slippy hands+tiled bathroom floor….you get my point! You would be able to widen the net significantly if recycled plastic were included and to cheaper brands. But I don’t know your personal reasoning for wanting less plastic so maybe it won’t work for you.

www.bskincare.co.uk/shop/moisturisers
This comes in a glass jar, with metal lids, and is really nice.

I just got a Lumene moisturizer, glass jar, unscented. Eco friendly Scandi wotsit.
Neal's Yard all come in glass.

TonkaTrucker · 22/07/2021 17:30

Face theory, they do unscented

hugoagogo · 22/07/2021 17:44

The bskincare looks like a candidate thank you.
I think I have looked at the Edinburgh before, but had forgotten it could work too.
Going to look at ethique too, I already use their conditioner barsGrin

I second this. I love bskincare stuff.

Facetheory is great. UK made, cruelty free, great ingredients, doesn't cost the earth, and have non-scented options. I have very sensitive skin and I love it.

sparklingbrooke · 23/07/2021 00:43

I use Sunday Riley Luna which is in a glass jar as my night treatment / moisturiser

AnnunciataZ · 23/07/2021 06:27

Glass jars are ok if your moisturiser is a very basic one but if it contains antioxidants or ingredients like vitamin C then it’s not great. Plus there’s the contamination aspect of repeatedly dipping your fingers in.
