Why are my bikini bottoms too small?

Ok I know the real reason, my hips and bum tend to expand year by year.

Any recommendations for a new bikini that makes me feel a bit covered without being grannyish?!

I'm 5'6", 12stone and size 16. I had a bit of a spare tyre as carry most my weight around hips and belly. Under £30 would be great!

Have you thought about a tankini ? You could roll the top up when you lie down.

Couldn’t you size up? I buy different sizes top and bottom.

I have given up this year and have gone for a swimming costume. My shape has changed so much in the past year (thanks to lockdown, illness and age).

High leg high waist have been my saviours this year. H&M for cheap ones and they're mix and match so you can get different size tops too

I carry all my weight in the middle and actually find tankinis etc less flattering.

Sainsbury’s had some super flattering high waisted ones with actual coverage

I always size up in shorts and swimwear , much more flattering!

I've got this one and it is surprisingly flattering, lots of nice pour moi ones. Definitely worth sizing up and going for one with more coverage and a folded over front.

Mine are panache, has light support in it. Bought as separates as needed bra sized top

I think it may somehow be linked to Covid Lockdown.
I have noticed that many of my clothes are now very tight, some are definitely smaller than they were!
