Tan sandals that are flattering

Are there any tan sandals out there that are actually flattering? I don't like straps that wrap around ankles - make them look stocky - and the current chunky sandals don't look very flattering.

I have the same issue with ankle straps and sturdy ankles but ‘discovering’ Menorcan sandals a few years back was a game changer for me. The original style is tan and brands like Solillas and Palmaira do some other designs too. They are very comfortable and mine (solillas) have lasted really well.

@Procrastatron - oh I like the look of these shoes/sandals! Could I ask you what they are like width-wise? I have very wide feet with a pronounced bunion joint and have terrible trouble finding shoes which fit. Thanks.

@MagicSummer I have wide-ish feet and a high instep and I find them very comfortable. I think because it’s once piece of leather over the foot it spreads the pressures so unlike straps you don’t get any specific tight spots that dig in of that makes sense. Also over time the leather sort of stretches/moulds to your foot a bit.

Tkees are nice and a good price. Ancient Greek too.

They only come in narrow, unfortunately, but I don't really have narrow feet and mine fit fine.

You have wide feet the menorcan sandals might be quite tight. I have wide feet and find that I think they are ok and then throughout the day they become uncomfortable. Some places sell wide fit versions though.

I really like the fitflop Gracie. They do it in a two strap version and a toe post version. Very comfortable. I have the toe post ones in Black and Tan.

I've got these and they are quite pretty, but too flat. No good for lots of walking.

I just got a lovely pair from fairfax andfavour called brancaster.

these are fab and in the sale at an amazing price. Inhave 4 pairs of PC sandals and they are very comfortable
