bad hair cut

Been going to my stylist for a while now an was always happy with the cut but not this time. I felt she was rushing. I asked for the fringe to be left beause it has grown out but i want it a bit longer. I have mid length hair with longish layers but this time the layers were cut far too short and she cut the fringe. I commented on the fact that she cut quite a bit off the fringe and she said it neede it.

I now look like Jennifer Anniston from Friends when she had that very short lauerd style that because so famous. I hate that and other stylists have commented on it saying it is so old fashioned now but was fashionable at the time in the 1980s but this is 2021. When I tied my hair back i could pull the fringe back without having to clip it but now because a lot has been cut off, I have to clip it again which is annoying I know my hair will grow and it grows fast but I wonder what went wrong. My previous stylist would not have cut the layers so short and before anyone asks why I change stylists, its beause my old stylist moved away and I needed to find someone else

That's very disappointing. There's nothing you can do except wait for it to grow Flowers. I quite like the Rachel cut. If it's any consolation, according to Vogue, it's making a comeback.

Thankfully my hair grows quickly. This has never happened before

I do not want to change salons and my salon is cheaper than most so when I go back I will hae to be very clear an specifis as to what I want an when I say I want a longer fringe I will have to say do not cut it

I do think people should be more assertive when having their hair cut. I know it’s disappointing when a hairdressers messes it up, but op you told her not to cut the fringe but presumably let her do it anyway?

no I did not exactly say do not cut the fringe. What I sai was I want to grow the fringe a bit longer.

So to confirm. I want to grow it a bit longer. She cut about one inch off it. Next time it will have grown back to the length it was before she cut it so that is why I shoul say DO NOT cut the fringe because if she keeps cutting it it will never grow to the length I want. What I want is or it to grow to the lengthh I want and then she can trim it as it grows even longer so that it will be kept at the required length.

Its not roket science

I thinnk it was just a misunderstanding. Maybe i should grow it and have it like this which is not too long. The problem is I have quite thik coarse hair and unless it is massively thinned out, I will not look like this woman
