Another Mother of the Bride Beach Wedding

What to wear? I feel its difficult because although it is on a tropical beach and will be hot the bride will be wearing a traditional gown and veil so not really that casual.

I don't want to look too formal nor too casual and only a very small wedding of 8 people due to Covid restrictions.

I feel I have looked everywhere! I am a size 12 and ideally would like some sort of sleeve but suppose its not the end of the world i it is sleeveless.

Any ideas Mumsnetters?

I got married here on tropical island and my parents flew in from UK.
My mum got a gorgeous dress from Phase 8 I think, which had cap sleeves. It was light enough that she didn’t sweat in it and had a little wrap for when she wanted to cover her arms.
She did check Karen Millen and the other high street one (I can’t remember name), but they were all lined quite heavily.

Have a look at Joe Browns. They have loads of pretty floral dresses (sleeved and sleeveless) which you could accessorise appropriately.

Op I know you have looked at Phase eight but have you considered this?
I bought this for a wedding and received loads of compliments from young and old, it was a tiny bit long on me and I wore it with metallic rose gold sandals. It was a really hot day abs it was so comfortable. It's also available in green as well. It looks better in real life but I appreciate it may not be the shape you are looking for.

If you search on John Lewis there are loads of dresses, I put in Wedding Guest and filtered for dresses as it gives a wider selection than MoB. If you can afford to wait a few more weeks I suspect sales will kick in, which will give more bang for your buck

Thank you, the blue one is pretty but not available in my size and the second I really like the colours but want something below knee or maybe even maxi but thank you.
