I confess I pulled on a sweatshirt and sheepskin slippers and ended up going to bed fit a couple of hours with a headache and being freezing cold! Better be warmer tomorrow

Rain forecast pretty much all day. Autumn . A day to watch old films and knit!

I didn’t get round to posting yesterday. My sister was visiting with her family, so I was in entertainment mode. Today I’ve mostly been cleaning.

I'm visiting family in Poole just come back from an evening swim 🏊‍♀️ at sandbanks it was gorgeous.

Dress was a freebie from a relative and linen think it's a holiday buy.

Don't ask me how the ♀️got in there 🤷‍♀️

@Sickoffamilydrama oh I love Poole and sandbanks! As a kid We lived fairly close enough for day trips and after school trips to the beach. My mum and dads ashes are scattered close by. Am very jealous you swam there!

I love it too every time I visit I want to stay.

I've been inspired by a vlogger mentioned on another thread to try and wear this skirt - it was a video on 20 ways to style a slip skirt and I've never actually worn this as I couldn't figure out what to wear with it so I've decided to just go for it! I think I'll wear white trainers when I pop out later, and maybe a denim jacket. I think it will work with a jumper and boots when it gets a bit colder as well.

@PalacePaper - I like the skirt. Although hopefully you’re not still in the skirt/boot version of the outfit if it’s as warm where you are as it is here!

@OublietteBravo it’s warm here now! DH is about to skive off and bike to the beach for a swim. @PalacePaper both great looks. I’ve seen that video and cursed that I sold my navy slip skirt unworn after 3 years

Not a very exciting outfit but I am excited about these Mint Velvet trousers I found in charity shop (£6)

I’m so jealous of everyone who lives near good charity shops. Ours are generally uninspiring.

I’m really starting to notice that autumnal chill in the air in the mornings/evenings. So today I’m starting out with a cardigan.

@OublietteBravo the jumper and boots didn't last long yesterday! It was so humid. Chilly today though. @Sooverthemill I have nearly sent my skirt from yesterday to the charity shop several times, but hopefully I'll get some wear out of it this winter now.

I like the colour of the jumper @Sooverthemill. There seem to be lots of similar colours in the AW collections that are just being released.

Today I’m wearing an outfit made up entirely of clothes that were in my bedroom (my BIL and sister are asleep in the spare room, which is where my main wardrobe is).
