I'm really drawn to these sandals.
And then shock horror I realised they are....... Gabor!
Which I associate with "frumpy, grandma nearly ready for Velcro slippers" look.
So what the verdict? Yes or no (in which case I must accept my fate)Confused

Yay or nae?

ZaraW · 18/07/2021 14:57

No they are awful.

QueenBee52 · 18/07/2021 14:57

No but I have fat feet so these would add to this..

if you have lovely slender feet you'll be fine 🌺

CushionsandCandles · 18/07/2021 15:00

IdaArnold · 18/07/2021 15:07

Oh god I like them!

goose1964 · 18/07/2021 22:55

I like the style but none of the colours, mine you I wore Jesus Sandals so they probably appeal to my inner teenager

ItPearl · 18/07/2021 23:01

no no!
but i also hate birkenstocks, even the ''pretty'' ones. I just think no.

Bloodylovecheese · 19/07/2021 20:40

It's a no from me ...sorry

SirVixofVixHall · 19/07/2021 20:47

I have some sandals from Gabor, not those ones, and I have to say they are like clouds on my feet. So comfortable. Mine are strappy with a slightly vintage look, really pretty metallic leather. I bought them when I had a painful foot after an injury, and a friend who had also suffered foot pain said her Gabor shoes were really comfortable .
Anyway mine are a revelation. So if you like that style then get them !

Isababybel · 19/07/2021 21:04

Extremely frumpy

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 19/07/2021 21:24

These remind me of my very overweight German nan who also wore a babushka (head scarf)

It's a hard no from me I'm afraid.

JaceLancs · 19/07/2021 21:37

It’s a no from me too
It’s the thickness of the sole combined with the paler bits
Then there’s the big buckle and wide strap thing going on
It’s not the brand btw - I have some fit flops and even hotters which are less grandma

properg · 19/07/2021 21:39

A sensible thick soled sandal is the look of the moment but these are too safe.

properg · 19/07/2021 21:41

You want more like these

Yay or nae?
Badhabits1 · 19/07/2021 21:44

Nope not good

KirstenBlest · 20/07/2021 09:04

I think they are quite nice and I have some Gabor sandals that I get complimented on.

MoltonSilver · 20/07/2021 09:15

My first reaction was to be drawn to them too. Then I remembered....I had these same sandals in another colour. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them. On the few occasions I've worn them I felt very frumpy. They actually look good with shortish shorts because they make your legs look longer without looking too dressy to wear with shorts. However, they frumpified anything else giving everything a sensible geriatric vibe. They've gone in a charity bag.

ALittleBitConfused1 · 20/07/2021 10:06

Oh goodness no. Although that's because I hate chunky shoes and wedges, I know they're the thing of the moment but I've never seen them look flattering on anyone, but saying that I'm a fan of the completely impractical thin scrappy sandle/flip flop so I'll prob have terrible feet by the time I'm 60 😁
