Does a comfortable strapless bra exist?

I need a couple of strapless bras, mine is so uncomfortable.

I know they don’t support much but there are summer clothes that I don’t like the straps showing, not sure what my size is but I’d say my boobs were average to large…about a d/dd.

Any ideas?

I buy all mine at women's secret and I find them very comfy. You need the right size, for me , in the strapless, it is a size up from my normal bra size, because they are tighter. Or try using an extender on the ones you have.

Is there somewhere near you that does bra fitting? If you could find the right size bra it might be a lot more comfortable Smile

Bertiebiscuit · 19/07/2021 17:42

I think a better question is are any bras actually comfortable - I gave up wearing one during lockdown and now wear a sports crop top or similar and I don't care - I'm sick of red sore skin and heat rash from blasted bras - I've checked and there is no medical reason to wear one it's all about how we look - BTW I object to men with moobs and big bellies going about top less in hot weather - good old double standard is alive and well - women went for more than 2 millenia without bras - we should be like Spain and ban topless men except on the beach

I second wonderbra ultimate. Game changer. And mine are generally a G cup (when not pregnant or breastfeeding. Honestly no hoiking or constant adjusting either. Those Berlin’s just stay put. Even if put up to the challenge of a bit of a boogie!

FuzzyWuzzyWas · 19/07/2021 17:43

Don’t know what Berlin’s are. I meant melons…🤷‍♀️

I'm a D cup and have searched for this holy grail for years, I did a google search last year for best strapless bra and this came up, I got it from John Lewis, total game changer, a touch overpriced but it stays up, no chaffing, the lace doesnt show through silky summer clothes, and its comfortable!

If your bra isn't comfortable, you're wearing the wrong size and/or style. Most shops measure wrong, adding 4 inches to the rib measurement. Measure yourself using the calculator on www.booborbust.com and try a few in the size that gives you.

WhereAreWeNow · 19/07/2021 19:01

Sorry but I've only ever found them to be really uncomfortable! I'm definitely in the right size, I just find that gravity wins! They have to be so tight to stay up and the ones with a silicone to help them to stay up give me painful, red welts Shock
So I've been wearing bralettes with my strappy tops and dresses this year and feel a lot more comfortable. I'd wear one for a special occasion but not just for everyday wear.

Agree, they’re amazing.

MoltonSilver · 20/07/2021 00:57

I'm very tempted to cut the straps off one of my regular bras. They are comfortable and stay up fine if I take my arms out of the straps but anything made to be strapless I find very uncomfortable. The wonderbra ultimate just squashes me flat.

CimCardashian · 21/07/2021 00:21

Is there a perfect strapless bra? I shall try and find out.

I could do with being measured but don’t trust most shops so will have a look at that website. I think the other issue is that each shop and each bra fits differently!
