At home hair dye for sensitive skin

Does anyone have sensitive skin and uses home dye successfully without irritation?
Any recommendations?

Personally I wouldn't risk it, the beauty of high lights / tints is it stays off your scalp. I am ridiculously sensitive though.

I do currently have highlights and do love them but I’m on a budget and sadly can no longer afford highlights.
