Help with a black funeral dress

Hello everyone,

This is my first post on Mumsnet and I would really appreciate some help please.

I'm trying to find a black midi length long sleeve dress in a 14 or 16 please. I would prefer a v neck as this cut seems to be more flattering and wouldn't mind a split in either the front or side within reason. I am a fat hourglass (if that is even a thing) recently put more weight on around my stomach due to a medical condition but waist still goes in & is smaller than my shoulders & hips.

I am 29 and everything I have found is either too old looking, too mumsy, split too high, cut far too low or just not respectful enough. I don't have a budget as such, but the funeral is next Tuesday so I would need something rather quickly.

I bought this for a funeral, it’s from BooHoo. It arrived and I’m quite impressed. They have other styles, different lengths. It’s worth a look.

Forgot to add that I am a 14/16, with a stomach, and I did not feel uncomfortable in the dress.

Have you looked at John Lewis on line? They have a wide range of black dresses, with quick delivery, you could order a couple of different sizes and return any unsuitable.

@Maze76 I have just ordered the boohoo one & @FarFromTheMaddingITCrowd I really like the DVF and All saints dresses so I have ordered those too.
