Sweaty Betty quality- gone downhill?

Last two tops I bought from them washed terribly and are good for nothing after little wear.

I bought a beautiful sweater recently which promptly unravelled in 3 places after 2 wears and has gone back. I really loved it but am hesitant to buy again tbh. This makes me very sad as I’m a long and loyal SB fan.

Is anyone else finding this?? I can’t find anywhere with the same type of stuff that I like as much as SB :(

Oh no! I only really buy their sportswear, and quality seems to remain high (although I miss their reversible leggings which seem to have disappeared. Perhaps they'll come back for winter). I last bought in winter. I have had a dud sweatshirt a few years back, but other than that, everything has been excellent (and the reason I too am a very loyal customer)

Try Lululemon. I find they wash and last really well.

I only get core fitness stuff from S.B. and I have one sweatshirt, which is lovely. I've bought a new bra, vest and pair of power leggings in the sale, they seem to be very good, as usual. I've not bought their knitwear or casual stuff, maybe hat is the problem area.

I’ve had some great SB things but also some items that were really bad quality. Hoodies that were really thin. To be honest I’ve not had my leggings a year and they are starting to bobble. I’ve had been balance and Nike ones for years and they are still great.

I think its gone downhill. I returned a vest recently as the fit, fabric and quality was just awful. Having said that, Ive got leggings and a sweatshirt (which is my favourite and gets a lot of wear in winter) that are at least 10 years old and still look like new.

I have a pair of leggings from them (my first SB purchase) which I kid you not must be at least 15 years old - still great! Latest pair of leggings have been fab as always but as PP said knitwear/casual type stuff has been iffy. Maybe I’ve had a few duds. I don’t like Lululemon as much…

Maybe I will re order it and see if version 2 is ok

leggings still fab but I never liked much else anyway, you might as well get the tops from Sainsbury's.

WeirdArchitecture · 14/07/2021 20:53

Also to add, I bought 3 pairs of leggings recently, all great.
I think they don't give much thought to the tops and rely upon their leggings reputation. All else is just brand loyalty frippery imho.

I only like the powerhold leggings, the other stuff I think is a bit overpriced. I bought some of the running leggings and they were awful and the quality was really bad (seams poorly sewn). They exchanged them without a problem though and thankfully my new power leggings are the same great quality.
