Can anyone help with teeth whitening.

I put this in health but got no replies.

In the process of having my teeth whitened through the dentist. Using Boutique whitening but it's not worked. Used 4 syringes of the night time gel and had two daytime ones as well and only a very slight difference. Dentist says they have never had this happen before, just wondered if anyone had any ideas why.

I don't have any idea as to why but I use crest 3d strips and they are amazing xxx

I've just bought a kit online from Hismile which guarantees intense whitening and zero sensitivity - fingers crossed!

I work in dentistry and we use Philips ZOOM day or night whitening.

Did you visit a hygienist before you started your whitening? Or did they at least give you a good scale and polish?

Wondering about tetracycline as teeth affected by this are often resistant to bleaching.

I used enlighten branded gel for 9 nights and it worked very well (used in custom made trays)

It may be then that you had a course of tetracycline as a child for a chest infection OP. If so, tetracycline-affected teeth don't bleach effectively.

I've used the Zoom day whitening through my dentist and found it had great results .
My teeth were very yellow due to years of smoking and red wine but I found the zoom kits have made a real difference but it had taken 3 lots of 3 syringes .
