Sweaty armpits

I’m using the Mitchum cream stick but still getting wet patches. Shower twice a day. I’m peri menopausal so that could be a factor, any ideas ?

Use bar soap 🧼 not shower gel for armpits and feet 🦶

dementedpixie · 12/07/2021 18:57

Mitcham is rubbish for me. In fact all of them are and I haven't found a decent one yet

I already use soap for washing

thewreckingcrew · 12/07/2021 19:03

You need Odaban. You only need to use it once a week but it completely stops all sweating.

CrouchEndTiger12 · 12/07/2021 19:04

Driclor. It is quite harsh though. Will sting if you use it too often.

Bone dry underarms though

CrouchEndTiger12 · 12/07/2021 19:05

Also you are supposed to spray on deodorant at night not in the morning.

It is so it is absorbed properly. Try using it at night

dementedpixie · 12/07/2021 19:37

There's one i tried that you put on at night and it itched and burned and I had to wash it off. I had made sure my pits were dry first too

Tarrarra · 12/07/2021 19:38

Try Sure Maximum Protection- an absolute game changer for me.

Sakura7 · 12/07/2021 19:40

Wash with bar soap and use Sure Max Protection.

I agree. Applied at night, after a shower using bar soap rather than shower gel.
dementedpixie · 12/07/2021 19:41

I didn't find that very good either and I dont like the smell of it

2pointfourmonkeys · 12/07/2021 19:47

I didn't find the cream very good, but the roll on works for me. Only thing it doesn't work on is stress sweating.

SnitchyBitch · 12/07/2021 19:49

I have Botox in my underarms- life changing.

Sickoffamilydrama · 12/07/2021 19:49

The problem is we are supposed to sweat under our armpits, so nothing stops it fully unless you get Botox injections even then I doesn't last forever.

My DH had success with the roll at night deodorant that he got from the GP (pre-covid).

LilacGlasses · 12/07/2021 19:51

I sweat a lot under my arms and Odaban is the only thing that works for me. I use it for a couple of nights to start with and then just about one a week. It’s very effective.

BoysTownGang · 12/07/2021 19:54

Have you tried the Men’s Mitchum stick? I find that is pretty good, I used it before I started on HRT, it helped a lot. I’ve also used the Mitchum spray, but tbh, I can’t beat the smell!!
I second using bar soap rather than shower gel.

FlibbertyGiblets · 12/07/2021 20:00

Sweaty upper back/back of neck, area between make and bra band, post meno, any solutions, asking for a friend Wink

FlibbertyGiblets · 12/07/2021 20:01

Nape not make, stupid fucking phone.

Lizzy1980 · 12/07/2021 20:04

Odaban is absolutely amazing. It has transformed my life

Absolutely agree with this. The only thing to control my menopausal sweaty armpits.
excelledyourself · 12/07/2021 21:06

I used to use Perspirex. It was put on at night and washed off in the morning. It stung the life out of me, but it really worked. I didn't need to use it every night.

I grew out of my overly sweaty pits. Not sure how.

DinosaurDiana · 12/07/2021 21:12

I’ve always used bar soap, but thanks.

Thanks all, I’ll try them all. But not all at once !

Agree with this. Sweaty underarms used to leave me feeling embarrassed and conscious all the time. Found this stuff and now it's something I never need to worry about. I recommend it to anyone who complains about sweaty underarms now and they always thank me for it!
HarrisMcCoo · 12/07/2021 21:22

Glad I have spotted this thread tonight as I have had sweaty armpits for years. Have always had to be careful with what tops I buy.

Will start using bar of soap there from now on 👌 thank you 😊

MilduraS · 12/07/2021 21:35

Seconding the recommendations for Driclor and Perspirex. Both leave me bone dry when used just once every few days after the initial applications. Mitchum and other "72hr protection" deodorants left me with sweat patches before I'd even left the house in the morning.
