Help finding suitable suit

We're getting married in 30 days. My daughters are wearing the dress in the photo and my OH and his son is wearing the suit. My step-daughter also wants to wear a suit, however the same one as OH doesn't fit her as she has hips. So we need to find either a jacket/trousers or trousers/waistcoat in a similar colour to either OH or my daughters' dresses. Very tight budget too, less than £50.
Thanks

Hmm. I assume she's tried just googling "women's teal suit"?

That might be a tall order for £50, though

Next have a sale on I ordered my DS a selection to try one was a mid blue/teal colour. Not sure if bring able to order different size trouser/jacket would help fit ?

MichelleScarn · 12/07/2021 13:51

How old is dsd?

PotNoodler · 12/07/2021 14:01

Shes 13 and teal suit doesn't bring many options up for women. And men's don't fit right

Jackets aren't too bad, but trousers don't fit, but trying to match colours is hard

Have been looking and the teal is going to be hard to match! Saw this buy as she's 13, probably not at all suitable! Unless she's v tall!

MichelleScarn · 12/07/2021 14:11

The pic would help!

What clothes size is she?

Eleoura · 12/07/2021 14:15

Could she buy a mans small/medium then have the trousers taken in at the waist and taken up by a seamstress/tailor, to make them a more womanly shape?

I love teal, BUT, every company has their own version of what colour this is, so you'll be hard pressed to find anything similar to match.

If budget is tight it shouldn't be too hard just to turn inside out and pin/sew along side seam, especially if you have access to a sewing machine.

Would something like this work instead, although it's a lighter blue it seems to have real in the pattern

Dorothy Perkins have a pair of teal cropped trousers. Maybe could be worn with a toning shirt/top.

Legomania · 12/07/2021 15:45

Would she consider a jumpsuit, perhaps more of a utility style with stiffer fabric rather than more floaty?

PotNoodler · 12/07/2021 16:08

No to a jumpsuit, she's into the whole trans thing, (though hasn't expressly told us to call her him yet)
It's just such a shame the suit OH got didn't fit her on the waist (getting a bigger size would haveeant huge jacket)
