Bra shopping

Margo34 · 11/07/2021 10:46

I haven't worn a bra since pre-pregnancy and bebe is now 9m old, so basically 18m of no bra, it's been liberating! Used to wear 32C but it used to move and need rejigging a bit throughout the day so not entirely comfy.

M&S measured me recently at 32DD but it didn't feel quite right, can't put my finger on what about it exactly, so didn't buy it. Boob or Bust put me at 28GG. 🤯

I'm struggling to find nursing bras in 28 band to try, any suggestions? How likely is it to fit?!

Royce maternity bras come in a 30 back, have you tried them?

Margo34 · 11/07/2021 11:01

No not heard of Royce, I'll have a look thanks. Would I need to go up a cup though, so 30h.... ish?

It's the other way - increase the band size; decrease the cup size... so 30G.

Margo34 · 11/07/2021 12:20

Ah of course it would be, mad moment! That makes sense!

I used to wear a 32DD, now wear a 30F. Maybe try an F and FF too?

Dalooah · 11/07/2021 13:10

Have a look on bravissimo- if you have a store nearby 100% recommend them. It was 20 years plus that someone told me about them after a massive fail at M&S and my life has changed getting a properly fitting bra- small back, large cup- which according to the all knowing at M&S was 'impossible'

dreamingofsun · 11/07/2021 13:47

john lewis sorted me out. i was wearing the wrong size entirely. not comfy at first, and if you havent been wearing one for ages imagine it will be worse, but does its job.

Ahhhh really?! That's helpful, I'll see if I can find some to try.

Seems like bra shopping is fast becoming just like Jeans shopping - try them all on, dodgy fit, gaping or just hate them all. Give up for 6 months. Try again, find one pair that fits perfectly. Buy many shades of the same pair. 😂
