stylish and practical backpacks

I'm looking for a smart but practical backpack, which will hold a small laptop and a notebook or two as well as water bottle, folded umbrella and so on. I'd like it to be smart enough that I can take it into meetings, but practical enough that it doesn't burst open whenever I put more than a couple of items into it (which my current one does), and also can be worn as a backpack without straps sawing into shoulders. My taste tends towards the minimalist, and ideally I'd prefer leather, but could be persuaded into something which isn't, as long as it doesn't look as if I'm about to go hiking. Has anyone seen anything recently? My favourite so far is a mens one from the jaeger range at M&S www.marksandspencer.com/leather-backpack/p/clp60515124?color=BLACK but I'm dithering.

I have a leather one from Fossil, it was in the men's section no idea why. Love it.

Ooh, I'll have a look there - thank you!

I really like Mandarina Duck backpacks:

And some of the MD men's backpacks are nice too, for example :

I thought one of the reason why Fjallraven are so popular was comfort, and the way they sit on your back as it were.
