Where do you shop?

I'm really struggling to find clothes that I like. I've been scrolling through Asos without much luck.
I bought some things in New Look recently but they were poor quality and shrunk in the wash.
I like wide leg trousers/culottes, midi dresses, loose/floaty tops, skinny jeans and usually wear trainers.

What's your age and budget?

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 10/07/2021 13:57

What about John Lewis? Or Arket? Or & Other Stories?

Assuming your budget isn't too high if you're previously shopping in New Look? Hope that doesn't come across as rude! I just didn't want to suggest places that were really expensive and out of your budget as that wouldn't be very helpful.

I like Hush for everything; good fit and quality (if a bit too much polyester) and Baukjen for tops and dresses. & Other Stories, as has been mentioned, I've discovered recently and I buy very occasionally from there. Boden for plain basics. Also a shop called Watson and White (check name) for vintage inspired.

No budget really. Just went to New Look as that and Primark are the only surviving shops on our local high street!
I'm 29.
I'll check all of these out, I haven't heard of some of them!

At the risk of being laughed off the Internet
If you have a big Tesco or Asda near you .. I'd have a look at them
If you want decent quality for low prices I don't think you can go too wrong with a bit of George
I'm a lot older than you but see some really nice things , can't do any harm to look ?

TeaAddict235 · 11/07/2021 21:19

No I think @66babe you are being real. Most people will have a supermarket near to them that stocks some good quality items. Sainsbos et al all offer cotton, wool etc these days without having to find some niche drone shop in the middle of nowhere. It's somewhere to start, that's the main thing, and if others on S&B don't like supermarkets and high streets being suggested, tough luck.

I would say H&M on the style you have listed.

OublietteBravo · 11/07/2021 21:25

I’ve recently discussed Brora. Their clothes are £££ but beautiful quality.

Discovered even Hmm

Beebopawhop · 11/07/2021 21:28

I picked up some khaki green Culottes in George Asda other day and they have washed well and are lovely material!

Oliver Bonas, it is more expensive than New Look but the sales are good and clothes usually good quality although knitwear can be hit and miss.
They have a sale at the minute and if you do order anything be aware you often need to size down.
