Eyebrow half waxed off!

Hi246 · 08/07/2021 22:44

Please don't laugh, I was just having a go at waxing some stray hairs and have managed to wax half my right eyebrow off. There's a sizeable patch with no hair at all. I've never done a lot with eyebrow make up, but I do have an eyebrow pen lying around, I filled it in OK but because its skin rather than thin hair after a while it just seems to slip off 😬 I've been online and bought a wax/powder eyebrow combo thing arriving tomorrow, never used anything like that but I need something that will stay on for a length of time, daily while it re grows.
Please let me know if anyone can suggest anything/any products I feel very silly and vulnerable right now 🙄

Maybe one of the more felt pen type ones would work better? Glossier do one (so elf probably do a dupe)
Also hope you are ok, must’ve been quite a shock. Fingers crossed it’ll grow back soon

beautifullymad · 09/07/2021 09:19

I did this two months ago. It grows back fast. Best thing to use is Matte eyeshadow a few tones lighter than your natural brow colour. Dust this on using small brush. It will stick.

I always pluck my eyebrows hairs. You're not removing many so it takes so time at all ;)

WellTidy · 09/07/2021 09:25

I would do the eyeshadow thing too, using a primer first so that it stays put for longer. My eyebrows grow back really quickly - since I started having them threaded, I seem always to be there. Good luck.

You have my sympathy, I’ve done something similar in the past. Primark do a great 3 in one brow product it’s gel, pencil & powder it’s a bargain at £3.

Curlymam88 · 09/07/2021 09:28

Please attach a photo of your eyebrow...we all want to see it Grin

Thissucksmonkeynuts · 09/07/2021 09:33

It grows back, I've done similar when I was pissing around with gaffer tape once.

Hi246 · 09/07/2021 10:15

Thanks ladies. I've got brow this way (rimmel) coming by amazon prime today, that's a gel and powder with a little brush. Then I panicked as that's cheap so I've ordered anastasia beverley hills no fade brow pack (£30) as seemed to be good in reviews, that's a colour, pomade and gel with brushes and a wand.
The rimmel one seems to say gel then powder.
Beverley Hills says gel last. All a bit confusing. I've done school run with my cheap maybelline pencil as it lasts an hour or so. Bloody nightmare!

OK, lol, dreadful photo. I'll take one later when the eye pencil isn't on 🤣
Well tidy, when you say primer do you mean thre eyebrow gel or just moisturiser?

At least you didn't pay for it.

TheFormidableMrsC · 09/07/2021 11:21

I'd get an eyebrow serum as they do a very good job at speeding growth

Hi246 · 09/07/2021 12:12

Any recommendations for eyebrow serum formidablemrsc?
I didn't do the best job of my eyebrows in lockdown and had got back into seeing a beautician. The last time I went was the best shape I've had in ages.
I'm such a fool to wreck it!
And I dont feel I can go to tidy the rest of my eyebrows now as feel too stupid 😒

I saw it Grin it will grow back. Personally I'd just use a pencil and pencil both eyebrows. I use a brown eyeliner pencil does the job on my skinny brows to make them look fuller

BusterGonad · 09/07/2021 12:34

I personally like the Clinique thin pencil.

YelloYelloYello · 09/07/2021 12:41

Pencil/liner will stay on top of product like foundation or concealer longer than it will on bare skin.

Pop a light covering of foundation on first and then draw your brow on.

Kanaloa · 09/07/2021 12:44

A long fringe? Failing that I think just keep with drawing them in and wait it out. They grow back fast!

Just wanted to update and share for anyone stumbling on this thread, having made a silly mistake...anastasia beverly hills no fade brow pack was the best thing I bought.
I tried two different pencils, both with ok results but you have to check every couple of hours. I bought a cheap gel and powder which was scary (I am really not a fan of the thick caterpillar eyebrow look!)
But the anastasia stuff is fab, dark pomade stuff that really wasn't scary lightly applied, a brilliant brush, and gel on top that you comb in so somehow even on bare skin it really does look like hair and no different to the other one! And it lasts hours!
I've spend about fifty quid looking but am sorted now, I'm expecting it to be months before its right so had to invest 🙄 thank you for all the help and advice.
