@Tinysalmonswimminginastream

What's wrong with it? I thought that style of dress was absolutely everywhere at the moment, flowery midi/Maxi dress with trainers? The only thing I don't really like is the asymmetric diagonal bit on the skirt.

And those sandals? They are just bog standard black sandals, look a bit like the Saltwater sandals, a but dull but not really offensive?

There would never be a moment when the dress wasn’t wearing the owner.

It’s all way too much. Busy print, frills, tie belt, awful colour combination, manages to be heavy and bright at the same time, bad sleeves, dowdy neckline and nasty fabric.

There are much better options out there.

Maybeitsme5 · 08/07/2021 20:48

What about on a visibly pregnant woman?

I quite like it actually and for £15 you can't go wrong. It's just styled wrong on the website. I am in no way fashionable but I would wear silver flip flops, straw bag and big silver necklace with that.

WeWantAMackerelNotASprat · 08/07/2021 22:55

I like it!!

LunaNorth · 08/07/2021 23:10

I like it, too.

bringincrazyback · 08/07/2021 23:13

I really like the pattern and colours (I go for bold prints) and the length, but not mad keen on the neckline or sleeves.

Glad you bought it though, OP - I always think go with your gut where clothes are concerned!

RacheyCat · 08/07/2021 23:27

It's quite cool. Worn with Birkenstocks or clogs, or something else clumpy, and your hair all flowy and underdone. You might like Monki if you like that dress.

Maybeitsme5 · 08/07/2021 23:49

Oh I am pleased I'm not the only one who likes it Smile

Myshitisreal · 09/07/2021 04:20

It's definitely a look. If you love it, I hope you rock it!

QueenOfPain · 09/07/2021 04:40

Gorgeous print OP and a beautiful colour palette.

TedMullins · 09/07/2021 04:46

I’m a lone voice here but I love it! But I am a fan of shapeless smocks in general

DocsOddSocks · 09/07/2021 07:52

@Maybeitsme5 I really like it! I'd put a belt on though to bring it in a bit Smile

MoltonSilver · 09/07/2021 08:14

The flowers are not colours that I would ever put with black. I don't mind the shape or the pattern but to my eye the colours are horrible together (sorry).

FindingMeno · 09/07/2021 08:15

If you love it and feel good in it, who gives a shit.

Doublestar · 09/07/2021 08:17

I'm sorry - I hate it! The print looks very "Bon marche" or something, I agree the colours just look wrong together. I think my dm (73) has some culottes in a print like that..

Girlintheframe · 09/07/2021 08:46

Sorry not my cup of tea.

ZenNudist · 09/07/2021 08:53

Post a pic.might suit you. Be fine as cheap maternity frock. Lots of room for bump!

I reckon you can style it out OP !

PegasusReturns · 09/07/2021 10:19

I’m usually a fan of shapeless midi dresses but the colours on that one are all wrong.

Sorry.

Houseofvelour · 09/07/2021 10:21

Personally hate it but I really hope it looks great on you xx

AdaFuckingShelby · 09/07/2021 10:23

I think it depends on who is wearing it. I know it would look tragic on me but if you can wear it well then go for it.

Beetlewing · 09/07/2021 10:33

Probably looks better on a more curvy body shape

bringincrazyback · 09/07/2021 10:34

Interesting that some don't like the black in the colour palette! I like pairing black with florals, personally - I think it adds a bit of an 'edge' and stops florals looking like something a Sunday school teacher would wear. (Apologies if anyone reading this is a Sunday school teacher. Grin )

Bluntness100 · 09/07/2021 14:33

I honestly don’t think that dress can be described as edgey. Love it or hate it, edgey it’s not 😂
