No idea what direction to go in for dinner/dancing

Hello,
I am going for food soon in a really good bistro. Michelin star quality food but more of a bistro setting. We are doing the taster menu so don’t want anything tight fitting but as the world is opening back up would love it if we could go for a dance after.
I am not a ditsy print/ floral kind of girl I normally wear bright, bold sort of glam style but I don’t want tight fitting. I am 5ft 2 size 8/10 but bottom heavy with chunky legs so normally stick to midi lengths and below.

Where do I start with this please? Seems like I’ve lost the ability to dress myself in the last 17 months and I really want to feel comfortable and enjoy this.

Oh and I’m 35 yrs old if that’s helps.

Inspire me wise ones … please

How about a really nice jumpsuit?

@Lucia574 yes I’ve been looking at some. It’s the bloating I’m worried about and if the weather is as close as this I’m going to be boiling. I like the idea of a wrap dress or those floaty tea dresses maybe but it’s so hard to find a plain one without a ditsy print. Thank you for your suggestion I’ll look at jumpsuits now. Maybe a wide legged one?! In a lighter fabric. All mine are winter ones in heavy black fabric so maybe there’s a lighter one I could find x
