Long Dress for Wedding

Help! I'm having a panic that I shouldn't wear a long dress to a wedding.

Is it ok? The wedding is tomorrow so I hope the answer is yes Grin

I've got 2 dresses that I can choose from, will try to find links. They are both floral and not white!!

this is one of them. I should say that I am a total short arse, so it comes up longer on me than the model.

You absolutely can! Plenty of midi and long at recent royal weddings.

HarveySpectorWins · 05/07/2021 15:44

I wouldn't bat an eyelid at someone wearing that at my wedding OP. I wouldn't say it's in the least bit bridal or bridesmaid like so you'll be fine Smile

It’s absolutely fine to wear a long dress to a wedding, unless it’s white and frilly and has a veil attached to it

Have a nice time

lurker101 · 05/07/2021 15:50

Yes of course you can. I was at a wedding last week with lots of lovely long dresses. I think it’s best to make sure you won’t be mistaken for the bride (usually by wearing white/red dependent on culture) or bridesmaids (usually a very formal block colour) so you’re good on both fronts with that beautiful dress. Have a lovely day at the wedding!

thanks for the replies! it took me a while to find the other one, again its longer on me....

I like the first one more for a summer wedding

Whereismymojo · 05/07/2021 16:15

The first one! But both lovely!

CaraherEIL · 05/07/2021 16:21

I like the first one much more I think the second one looks autumn rather than summer.

CHISistoast · 05/07/2021 16:24

First one I think!

Palavah · 05/07/2021 16:50

Obv 1st one looks a bit cooler with the lighter colourway and short sleeves, but the 2nd looks more elegant.

JaceLancs · 05/07/2021 21:54

First one is much more summery

DGFB · 06/07/2021 16:24

First one for a summer wedding but both lovely

Standrewsschool · 06/07/2021 16:40

First one for a warm day, and second one if it’s cooler. Both lovely dresses.

Bluntness100 · 06/07/2021 16:44

Both fine, the second one is much more elegant, less causal so depends on the type of wedding.

Bertiebiscuit · 14/07/2021 17:42

Of course you can - and its not about you after all

Rollergirl999 · 14/07/2021 18:52

I love the first one. Perfect for a summer wedding I think
