1980s ladies...Do you remember Impulse Body Mousse?

Came out around 1986/6/7...was a moisturising body mousse that was the same fragrance as the body spray...I think when it was launched it was available in 3 fragrances...I remember I really like the one that was in a purple coloured bottle.

Searched online and the only mention I can find of it is on the BFI website, funnily enough. Details are for a 1987 TV ad called Restaurant Car...can't find the ad itself online, but I think I vaguely remember it!

Am I just having a menopausal mind trip or does anyone else remember this product?

I remember this! Although only really that it existed and I had some, and the smell was lovely. I have a feeling mine was the purple one too - it was a body moisturiser, I think.

I also had hair colour mousse in a plum/burgundy colour that used to dissolve and run off if it rained. Mousse was quite the thing in the 80's.

Thanks @SocksAndTheCity! Yeah, mousse was the real big thing in beauty in the 80s! I also used those hair colour mousses, but my big favourite was Glints...I remember feeling so daring when first allowed to use it when I was 15!

Not only do I remember it but I finished my 1980s can of Chic Impulse mousse only a couple of months ago! It still smelt as I remembered it in the 1980s but had been sitting in my drawer for years so I decided to use it up.

The Chic mousse was in a white can with red accents.

I dont remember it but it sounds fab! I loved impulse. And exclamation perfume was also another of my faves

I loved shaders and toners for hair. I can still remember the smell! Don't remember the impulse mousse, but the body spray in the turquoise coloured bottle was my favourite.

I don’t but moisturiser in mousse form sounds fab. Was it effective as a moisturiser? I wonder if any are still available?

My favourite Impulse was the red can with the gold butterflies (?) or flowers (?) - I can't remember what the name was but it definitely made me smell of Madonna in my head.

It was a bit watery and made my skin smell nice but I don't think it was very effective as a moisturiser. Mind you it was 30 years old!

None of us even know why we are moisturising at 30!

It was a lovely smell, surprisingly for Impulse it wasn't knock-out strong! I found it a good moisturiser, but I had young 18 year old skin.... sigh

Hi, Your message just came up when I was searching Inpulse body mousse! Yes!! I remember it and have been trying to find it online too! Purple theme, butterflies on a white background with a lovely scent that I vaguely remember. I've put a post on FB in the 70's and 80's group....hope someone remembers what it was called!
