Shoe inspiration needed please

I am totally out of practice in ‘going out’ shoes and welcome ideas!

I have this red dress & this green / navy jumpsuit to wear over the next month or so and could really do with new shoes.

Looking for style AND some level of comfort - hahaha.

I think I need mid heels as I am short but can’t walk in super high shoes, Wedges and block heel good but probably not cork or the straw type heels as I don’t think they’re as smart as the dress.

To make matters more complicated, I have wide feet with very high insteps making some shoes a challenge. Also thick ankles so ankle straps not ideal (as well as being unflattering, they often don’t reach!). Though I do like my shoes to stay on and not slop. I don’t wear black, but open to any other colours.

Any ideas and inspiration welcomed!

Colour gold? I think of gold as neutral.

I have wide feet too, I like Gabor wide fit wedges, last year they did a silver/ gold version called Jesse I think.

Agree, metallics probably good.

I'm not keen on the espadrille style wedge for this dress though, seems too casual for the dress / occasion (wedding - family member)

I do own these fabulous gold sandals and they look fab with the dress. But I think I am too old and wobbly to wear them now, I can’t walk nicely in them any more .

I have least, super comfortable as well. They do have an ankle strap but plenty of room for adjustment

Haha, I have those M&S sandals in navy! They are comfy and great with crops and shorts, but definitely not for this occasion.

I clearly need to have a look at Moda in Pelle - not a brand I have shopped with before so thanks for that . Seem to be a lot of out of stock items annoyingly.

Good to know! Am boycotting HOF online ordering since the Sportsdirect takeover and making returns so bloomin’ hard.
Not that I checked MIP’s policies before ordering!

I went into HOF for the first time in months and they had hardly any stock!(but lots of shoes I liked though)
God knows what he's doing with it, it used to be such a lovely store Will bear it in mind not to order online if returns are a pain!!

New look do a wide fit as do ASOS if you want something cheap and cheerful to try? I found some lovely black strappy block heels recently

Fenn Wright Manson. It’s in the sale currently - £99 from £199. It’s very nice, hangs well. I have the petite version, think it comes in regular too.
