41 and my eyes seem to be getting smaller

Is there anything I can do to make them look bigger? I get my eyelashes tinted every couple of months or so and do a bit of tight line but doesn’t seem to be cutting it any more. Also- my shu umera eyelash curlers need replacing- any recommendations?

I have attached a photo (I’m not really wearing a balaclava )

I used to have gorgeous big blue eyes (if I do say so myself).
They have faded and are smaller, not as bright as they were. They’re quite squinty now.

I have the same problem and am beyond upset that you cannot buy Shu Umera curlers.

Charlotte Tilbury ones are rubbish. Kevin Aucoin (spelling?) are ok

@bookish83 thanks for the recommendation- although you don’t sound that happy about them! Shu Umera are amazing- absolutely gutted you can’t get them now. I can see I’m going to end up buying about five sets of eyelash curlers at this rate. Has anyone tried the Laura Mercier ones? I heard some good reviews...

Can eyes actually get smaller? I know noses and ears get bigger so there’s not much hope for me as I age.

You’ve got lovely eyes anyway.

I use a gua sha and use that on my face. It's helps my eyes look more open. You can you tube how to do it. I massage upwards, I think it helps with lymphatic drainage

Your eyes are lovely but I think if you used one it would help on the outer part of your eye, between the lid and brow

You've got a lovely shape to your eyes.

Switching from black to dark brown mascara has helped me.

Eyes appear smaller because the upper eyelid ( the flesh underneath your eyebrows ) sags down and begins to hang over the eye.
Mine are not good. Yours look ok .

@uneazy seen loads about gua sha’s but wasn’t sure if they were a bit gimmicky- worth a go I guess. Do you have to do it every day?

Why can't you buy Shu Uemuras anymore? I used to buy one pair a month as I liked a really dramatic curl and the pads would always lose their bounce. Still got about 100 pairs minus the pads!

And by the way OP, your eyes are gorgeous, I would love to have eyes like yours! White eyeliner along the water line can make them look bigger though then dark eyeliner on the lower eye lid?

@Lovewins it definitely works - it's just a tool to massage your face. I aim to do everyday as it's fairly quick but do often forget.

@Lovewins just come to say you have lovely eyes and that your 'balaclava' photo has made me laugh! I'm actually interested in the gua sha, what's it going to do for my hooded eyes? @uneazy

I think eyes do get smaller- it's like they heal up over the years. I always notice this about really old ladies- their eyes are tiny!
