DP and i are planning on getting married next year.
The plan is for it just to be us and DD at ceremony and then have a big evening party for family and friends. As such, I want my dress to be simple and on the casual side, but not so casual as to have guests dressed more formally than me!
What I think I want:
Short length
Sleeves
Not strapless
Cream, royal blue or emerald green
Issue is that I haveVERY wide hips and huge thighs. The best shape on me is empire line ( or dresses that tie directly below the bust) or shift. I can't do anything floaty. My first wedding dress was long and extremely structured around the waist so it nipped me in. Loved the top half but hated the length.
I quite like the idea of a dress with a sort of top overlay if that makes sense?
I really can't find anything I like. I figured you all may be better at this than me!
Budget is as cheap as possible but I don't mind splurging if the dress is amazing.
