What would it be?

For me, Jo Malone's lime, basil and mandarin. I smell it and it immediately takes me back to hot summer holidays in the Caribbean.....

However. If I started this thread in the winter I'd say chanel coco

Which just demonstrates the impossibility of just choosing one perfume forever, doesn't it!

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I think it's supposed to be a men's fragrance but it's quite neutral.

I am more than devastated. I've been wearing it for 15 years. It's my smell. It's what the kids say is 'Mummy's smell ' and I met DH with this perfume on and he also says it doesn't even seem to be perfume, it just smells of me! He buys me the large bottle every Christmas.

Just seen the big bottle for £45 on All Beauty I'm ordering 2!

I’m torn between a few ( Chanel Allure and Thierry Mugler Alien ) but I’m going with my gut instinct which is Poeme by Lancôme. I’ve been wearing it since I was 18 years old in 1996, it was released the year before and I just loved it. Not many places stock it though and I always worry it will be discontinued.

I definitely prefer heavy scents.

Oh, I love Poeme as well. But, I was reading that perfume guide by Luca Turin and he gave it either 1 or no stars

L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake. It's MY smell!

Dune for me as well. In fact apart from occasional forays into L'eau d'Issey in the summer it's all I have worn since it came out (1991 ). I still get complimented on it.

I have a shelf of perfumes, but end up putting this on daily. I think its now just how the world smells to me, and when I wear any other perfume I notice it.

Sometimes I think I should make an effort to wear other scents, but then I remember that eau de temps is just what my mum smells like and poison was what granny on dads side smelt like. My nana on the other side of the family didn't have a signature scent, wearing perfume daily but never the same one, and so I dont have anything that when I smell it makes me think of her.
