What would it be?

For me, Jo Malone's lime, basil and mandarin. I smell it and it immediately takes me back to hot summer holidays in the Caribbean.....

However. If I started this thread in the winter I'd say chanel coco

Which just demonstrates the impossibility of just choosing one perfume forever, doesn't it!

I’m torn between a few ( Chanel Allure and Thierry Mugler Alien ) but I’m going with my gut instinct which is Poeme by Lancôme. I’ve been wearing it since I was 18 years old in 1996, it was released the year before and I just loved it. Not many places stock it though and I always worry it will be discontinued.

I definitely prefer heavy scents.

Avon ‘Elusive’ Sadly discontinued. Intoxicated the two loves of my life ❤️😀

Cassini by Oleg Cassini (another discontinued one 😕)

L’artisan Parfumeur Tea for Two, but it’s discontinued. Maybe Diptyque Philosykos instead

Diorella by Dior. I've been wearing it for 30 years.
And now Habanita by Molinard too. It's extraordinary.

Lancôme - L'autre aud

A bit of an oldie but Youth Dew by Estée Lauder.
It smells good on me and it doesn't fade away (don't put too much on though as it's pretty robust).
Also some of the notes remind me of ginger beer which I love!

DKNY women. I used to wear it years ago then took a notion to buy another bottle when it was on offer and discovered it was nicer than I remembered. I've been wearing it in preference to my other scents and still not tired of it.

Chanel no19. I've worn it since I was 20 and it reminds me of some of the happiest times in my life.

Tom Ford - Neroli Portofino. However, refuse to buy anymore because massively upped prices when it became popular - not even when MrCatE suggests as birthday or Christmas present. Mr Ford took the proverbial piss.

Paloma picasso. But really I’d also want nuxe prodigeuse

@MrsCatE Jo Malone basil & neroli smells just like Neroli Portofino, I can’t distinguish them. Unfortunately both have equally crappy staying power on me, but the Jo Malone is cheaper.

Stella. No question, I’ve been wearing it for a decade and nothing compares for me. I’ve just panic bought lots of bottles to stash as it looks like it’s being discontinued

YSL Black Opium.

Good choice. This is my go-to perfume for day to day. Love it and could happily just use this one. Lasts for ages

@Puffalicious I know. It’s heavily discounted atm in a few places and I saw a comment on Fragrantica that it was being discontinued. The larger bottle is already quite hard to find. I’m gutted, I’ve never found anything I love even half as much, I wore it on my wedding day. I now have a stash that should last me into my dotage

I found Tom Ford Vert Boheme and that would have been the love of my life perfume but they discontinued it. I'm gutted.

If I could ever get it again it would be Laura Ashley No 1.It was my first perfume that I got aged 14 on a trip to London to see my childhood friend .We were then living in different countries faraway from our childhood home.I can still remember how beautiful that shop was and wore that scent for years .It's sadly discontinued.
