What would it be?

For me, Jo Malone's lime, basil and mandarin. I smell it and it immediately takes me back to hot summer holidays in the Caribbean.....

However. If I started this thread in the winter I'd say chanel coco

Which just demonstrates the impossibility of just choosing one perfume forever, doesn't it!

I absolutely adore it.
Lots of people (preCovid) would stop and ask what I was wearing. It just suits my skin.

I know some people hate so I do apologise if you have ever recoiled in horror!

I bloody love that shop. I have their Love Potion bath oil.

Have just asked my 15 year old and she said lime, basil and mandarin because it reminds her of me and red roses because it reminds her of her mum ❤️

However, despite that nostalgia she's decided that she's going to buy Coco Mademoiselle with her birthday money.

All time fave is Narciso Rodriguez - all the better for being fairly uncommon.

If it was still available Karl Lagerfeld sun moon stars. But as it isn't it would have to be YSL paris. But I also love Stella so gutted to hear it is being discontinued, like a PP I wore it on my wedding day, had better stock up while I can!

Oh I absolutely love Cabochard, I’ve worn it for over 50 years now and always go back to it! Very fond of Coco too.

@Kathunk thanks for the website link - my favourite perfume of all time was Givenchy III, I even now have an empty bottle that still has a trace of the smell years after I finished it. I’m going to try some of the suggestion s for similar scents. I do love Miss Dior too, but more for evenings, the givenchy was my daytime go to.

Assuming I could go back in time and get some while it was still being made - Manifesto by Isabella Rossellini. Absolutely amazing scent. Beautiful men used to stop me in the street to ask me why I smelled so good.
