Setting / finishing powder dilemma

coralcavesenormouswaves · 02/07/2021 21:52

Can someone please recommend a powder that will do the following for me:

  • reduce t zone shine and set whatever make up I'm wearing
  • not look powdery/noticeable on my skin
  • not look too matte - natural is good
  • not look too radiant (no shiny ones)
  • make me look very beautiful 😄

I don't want to buy more than one so it must multitask!

TIA!

www.lilylolo.co.uk/finishing-powder/

This in translucent . Isn’t powdery, just get a big brush and sweep across . Not matte but nit glittery . Radiant but not shiny, you can buy a sample to test.

Oh thank you! I've never heard of that brand. It looks really good.

Although I should have said that ideally I would also prefer pressed powder 😬 the kids will just somehow find a way to knock over loose!!

Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder or one of the Hourglass ambient lighting powders.

I find the beauty pie one made me look very radiant. But it's good.

Charlotte Tilbury does a good one, there's a no 7 one that's very similar.

I love MAC MSF powder - it sort of blurs everything, mattifies but doesn't deaden the skin. It has it's own coverage - quite sheer but buildable. Tbh, it's all I wear these days for foundation makeup.

The By TERRY hyaluronic hydra powder is exceptional. I use the loose, tinted version. It's undetectable and reduces shine without looking dull or flat.

Thank you! I'm writing these all down. Has anyone tried the Dior backstage powder-no-powder one??
