I've had some brilliant stuff from Gap over the years, most of which I still have because it lasts ages and nearly all of it impulse-purchased from the sale rail.

Agree that their website is hard to navigate, and their sizing is so wildly inconsistent that it doesn't lend itself to online shopping. I ordered quite a bit during lockdown and all of it went back.

Ahhh, remember their brilliant TV adverts? - Khakis Swing (with the Matrix-like camera shots) and Khakis a go go are two that I remember particularly.

Really want som khakis now.

I'd forgotten their TV ads. I loved the one featuring Daft Punk

My puffa jacket is from there, I was going to buy another one. It's fleece lined and so warm.

I love Gap for jeans and t-shirts and knickers - I loved them even more when they did a really good petite range. My nearest store is miles away though, so I've been shopping with them online for ages, and I have to say their customer service online is one of the best - really fast delivery and refunds.

@Zengarden001 - Everlane? What are their returns like, and delivery charges? I've seen things I like from there but always thought it would be a hassle to order

I've heard good things about Everlane jeans. Will have to investigate. I thought they were just in America, didn't realise they had an online presence here.

I'll miss them and liked the outlet store.
I have several pairs of jeans and dungarees from there. Kept the old ones so have several shapes and styles, all just right.
The jeans were great

I have the odd dress and skirt from there. All nice enough.

The local store closed recently but I didn't go in very often as it seemed a bit jumbly. About 20 yrs ago I shopped there regularly.

Everlane is the new Gap. Good quality basics imo. Online only in UK though atm.

I've shopped a bit with Everlane, it's very hit and miss.

Their tshirts, chinos and cashmere aren't great quality. The tshirts are very thin cotton, chinos didn't fit well and cashmere was just very average and didn't wash well.

Handbags and footwear are excellent quality.

The one in Cardiff has closed already, I was really put out when I went a few weeks back. And agree their website is dreadful. I used to buy all my work trousers from Gap but haven’t the last few years as the fit and styles just haven’t been right.

I forgot my gap khakis. Love them. I also have an old pair of size 0 gap trousers packed away.
I looked hot in them back in the day, or at least I thought I did.
