Ffern Summer 21 perfume

Anyone else on the Ffern ledger? What do you think of the Summer 21 scent?

I really like it - especially the spicy, warm notes. It is even worse than Spring for staying power though. Sad I think I might need to cancel by subscription as even though the perfumes are beautiful, they just disappear from my skin in an hour or two. I notice it even more with this new scent as I'm not "nose blind" to it yet and still can barely detect it on my skin.

Does anyone know if the staying power improves at all as the perfume ages in the bottle?

I've been on it for the last 4 bottles. I couldn't bear the autumn one, it was far too deep and masculine for me but loved the winter and spring even though they're very similar. I'm sending the summer one back as there is a note in there that is really jarring for some reason.

I take the bottle with me if I'm wearing it, as it too only lasts a few hours and you need to top it up. I've tried rubbing vaseline or skin oil onto my skin then the perfume but it still fades quickly. I'm finding that 4 times a year is too much for me, when I've got a rather extensive collection as it is.

I'm debating on keeping it. While I like it, and the scent grows on me each day. I'm not sure it's something I would just go and purchase off the shelf. The staying power isn't very good at all.

There are so many other perfumes I like, and never buy because I can't justify them or the money. So this raises the question for me - just because it's in my house now, can I justify having it? Or should I just take the £69 to put to a new perfume I really love? 🤔

Does anyone know how long we have to make our decision and send back?

I am planning to give up my ledger space too - I love the Ffern fragrances but the longevity is just too poor.

Whilst I really like the idea of a limited edition natural perfume, I keep thinking I could treat myself to some Chanel instead Grin

I think you'll be fine to send back but if you're still not sure, you can usually sell on eBay for the cost price.

You can only send it back if it's unopened. They always include a sample vial so you can try it first.

Maybe the trick is to keep applying it several times a day. That would certainly help me get through the bottle quicker too!

I might stay until autumn and then cancel as that would be a full year of perfume (last winter was my first). I do like a complete collection. Wink

One of my old favourites is La Vie Est Belle and it's the same money. I can spritz that in the morning and still smell in the evening........ I love the idea of a niche perfume but the reality is a little too samey for me.

I wasn’t a fan either, mine has gone back.

You get 14 days, btw, from your despatch email to return it. Thank god I did mine after reading this thread today as it was the last day.

Removing myself from the ledger wasn't very straightforward but I have done so. I think I'm going to try the seasonal selection instead from the Perfume Society.... that's £18 a quarter and you get 8 different samples to try.

Ooh thanks! I thought it would have been longer. Will need to make my final decision. Trouble is even if I wanted to get a totally different perfume I can't even go anywhere to have a sniff of them all until I find one I like. I have to ask someone to spray each individual one on a card for me. Total pain when I'm just browsing
