I've had it done twice. My hair was really flat and greasy by the second day. As someone with curly hair I wash it every 5 days. It did stop the frizz.

Please don't waste your money. I have had loads of keratin treatments and Kerastraight was awful. I now do my own using Cocochocco and I do a much better job of it than a salon at a fraction of the price of £29.99 a pot which lasts 3 goes on my very thick and long hair.

Would love to try this at home rather than paying squillions- how did you manage the back of your hair and the straightening irons ? I have tried both the sort that means you can't wash your hair for four days and it works better than the one which allows you to wash it out after half and hour although I always leave it for at least two days. During lockdown I discovered a temporary fix that works really well, lasts as it says for 3-4 washes and is really low cost as I get at least six separate goes from each bottle- so 18- 24 hair washes for £12.50. https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/color-wow-dream-coat-supernatural-spray.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwieuGBhAsEiwA1LynS5Ujjnkg5tNYFWWN1k4uRTHVfc5voqUV6fpKqQ9pK2J2FGDs-LVKxoCp1QQAvDD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Not flat as a pancake at all, but only great for a few weeks really - plus after having it done about 3 or 4 times over 2.5 years my hair is breaking off at the back (with necessary additional straightening)

I must be having a different Kerastraight treatment to everyone else as I’ve had it done twice and both times it’s been a dream - removed the frizz and made my hair much more manageable and healthy-looking. Mine never looks flat but I do style it with a Babyliss Big Hair anyway.

Same for me. I let it grow out the last 6 month and my children hated it so much the told me to get it done again. My hair always looks good with minimal work when I have it done. We have groupons in the US so usually not extremely expensive
ZaraW · 30/06/2021 05:54

Color Wow left my hair in really poor condition knotty and with breakage.

TeddingtonTrashbag · 30/06/2021 06:00

Not sure about the brand as have it done at the hairdressers every three months or so. Brilliant-my hair is naturally frizzy as well as dyed but this keeps it magically smooth andI can actually blow dry it myself now and it looks good as never did before.

whatthejiggeries · 30/06/2021 06:54

I had it done once last summer and it was food then had it done again recently and thought I would stay less frizzy in the rain etc but it's made no difference - I won't be doing it again

Omlette

I just section off my hair and have a bit down at the back and a bit of arm bending. It has never been a problem. You could always rope someone in to do the back.

Thanks ! Sorry to drip questions - do you also colour your hair and if so does it get affected ? I also highlight my hair and find ordinary kerastraight makes my colour organ feel so have to schedule colour a week after I have the straightener to tone down what becomes orange - am all for DIY but fretting I do so much to my hair that this may backfire?
ILoveMagnums · 30/06/2021 12:17

I do my own Keratin treatment 2 weeks before my cut and colour. I've never had a problem with the colour afterwards.

ArabeI · 30/06/2021 12:28

I'm only basing this on one person I know who had this done, not personal experience. Her hair lost the frizz, but it looked quite lank and flat and she wasn't pleased with it. It might work better on thick hair, possibly.

TeddingtonTrashbag · 30/06/2021 12:37

I di think part of it is the drying tools Grin
I an totally cack-handed and impatient so my hair has never been good before, but I now have a Babyliss Big Hair to dry, then ionic brush to finish and smooth. ( Had none if this before lockdown!)
Even my lairy 15 year old (female!) pupils comment in the shiny look,Grin

Mine was still fine after 2 treatments Chis. But now after a few more a chunk of my hair has broken at the back so have had to go quite short.I do occasional dye and straighten too but I'm certain it's the kerastraight that has tipped it over, it's never happened before.

Pretty much a waste of money for me. Maybe helped mildly but not enough to justify the cost
