School uniform-white shirt quality. Need non see through!

Hi. My DD 13 years needs new white school shirts. She is very self conscious and doesn't want shirts that you can see through too easily.
Obviously good value in Asda but my guess is they could b thin. M and S have school sale starting 6th July i think (hint, hint all!!) so that maybe option.
Does anyone have advice on where to get shirts that are thick and not too see through? Obviously im open to different options on line.

Could she wear a white vest or T-shirt underneath?

If she’s worried about people seeing her bra through her shirt, then flesh-coloured or red underwear shows up less under white clothing than white underwear does.

My dd wore one of these under her school shirt. Stops it being see through and adds an extra layer in winter.

We have M&S shirts and my DD asked the other day if I could see her underwear through it. She had on a pink bra and I couldn’t even see a shadow but even when she’s worn white underneath it’s not obvious. They’re always good quality and returns are easy too.

I would go a vest top underneath a white shirt so she knows she’s covered. Even if you buy a more expensive shirt I suspect she’ll still be concerned.

If she wears nude underwear you can't see anything. White underwear shows up more easily

It does concern me why it’s acceptable to send our children to school in see through shirts…I would never allow my daughter to wear a see through top out of school!

At that age we started buying DD shirts from Next. They don't gape across the buttons which was the main reason we switched

Just put a white vest or strappy top underneath.

My daughter has next ones. They’re not see-through.

Thank you so much for your help, much appreciated. Nude bra might do the trick. Might get the vest too and see what she thinks. I just dont want her feeling self conscious.
