Should I keep this Hush jumpsuit?

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 22:33

I read about a Hush linen jumpsuit and bought it on a whim. It’s arrived and I don’t know.

Plus points: it’s light, comfy and covers a LOT.

Minus points: I have to practically dislocate my shoulders to remove it for a pee, and it’s showcasing my flat arse.

I’m only dithering because it was £99! Tell me what to do. Keep? Or return?

Meh. It's not £100 worth. It's just fine. You have a great figure and could do better imo.

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 28/06/2021 22:35

I don't think it's worth the money. You have a lovely figure but it's not particularly flattering. It's very boiler suit and I'm sure you could find cheaper and more flattering

queennotififi · 28/06/2021 22:37

My vote is return because it lacks shape around the middle.

TedHastingsweeDonkey · 28/06/2021 22:39

I'd return, sorry! Looks like one of those cover suits for painting & decorating and definitely not worth £100. There are much nicer / more flattering ones out there.

enjoyingscience · 28/06/2021 22:40

I’d send it back, but only because it will inevitably fall apart after a single wash like everything I’ve ever had from hush, so if you don’t love it now, you’ll definitely not want it when the hems have fallen down.

PandoraP · 28/06/2021 22:40

Return. It’s letting you down.

Justmuddlingalong · 28/06/2021 22:41

If it was £29.99 I'd keep it. But it's not. Sorry but I'd be returning it.

bonfireheart · 28/06/2021 22:43

Return

Branleuse · 28/06/2021 22:45

It looks good because youve got a great figire but its neither special looking nor practical

ICECream821 · 28/06/2021 22:47

Return you have a great figure and don’t need something like that

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 22:48

Thank you! It’s back in the box.

I felt like I was dressed to fix someone’s washing machine.

I’ll keep looking. I need long sleeves as my upper arms are super wobbly. I love black clothes. Won’t wear anything too far above the knee. My options are limited. 😆

If you don’t feel amazing in it, return it.

You have a great figure and this is doing you zero favours.

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 22:52

I saw a nice off-the-shoulder one on Next but it’s jersey cotton and I think would look like loungewear.

I hope Hush are kind with their returns as I’m 50% certain one of the sleeves went down the loo earlier when I desperately struggled to get it off for a pee.

You’re all very nice about my figure - thanks. I recently lost 4.5stone and I’m still not used to things fitting.

blueskyemily · 28/06/2021 22:53

You look great but I think that's more because you have a great figure. The jumpsuit is ok but I don't think it's worth £99.

Lucy and Yak have this version which I like, but it even makes the models arse look flat as a pancake!

Time40 · 28/06/2021 22:57

I have to practically dislocate my shoulders to remove it for a pee, and it’s showcasing my flat arse

Return it. Too much faff for the money.

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 22:59

Oh no! These boiler suits seem to require a teenager’s internal arse-scaffolding.

The last thing I bought were a pair of trousers and my immediate thought when I tried them on was “ OMG I love them” and that’s what I think you should aim for. If you’re umming and aching ahh-ing then often it’s a no

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/06/2021 23:04

Return it, there's loads of other lovely things from Hush that would look gorgeous on you, you have a stunning figure.

23andbroke · 28/06/2021 23:08

Personally I like it, especially the second photo. I’m early 20s and would wear it! Fold up the hem and wear with trainers

Not all outfits have to be sexy or showcase your bum, it’s fine to have something that’s more low-key. You could try pairing it with a belt to see if you prefer that.

All jumpsuits are awkward when you need the toilet - but I wouldn’t write them off due to that. As far as the price, it’s subjective. You’re presumably more well off than me if you’re happy to drop £99 on a “just because” item! Do what makes you happy

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 23:10

my immediate thought when I tried them on was “ OMG I love them” and that’s what I think you should aim for.

So true! I read on S&B once, “if you have to ask, it’s a no.”

I haven’t had that OMG I LOVE THEM feeling for years.

willowstar · 28/06/2021 23:12

I actually like it...I love jumpsuits and boiler suits. I just got one today that showcases my flat arse but I am ok with that. But, if you don't like it and feel good in it, get rid.

beigebrownblue · 28/06/2021 23:15

99 pounds too expensive for any jumpsuit. Check the sales in August

ThatOtherPoster · 28/06/2021 23:15

Fold up the hem and wear with trainers

The hem was another minus point, sadly - the elasticated cuff kept gripping my calf, riding up with a death grip and refusing to let go. The trousers kept ending up looking like Plus Fours unless I pulled them back down regularly.
