Overjet and Overbite of teeth

Hi everyone I have really bad clicking in my jaw and sometimes if I open my mouth too wide it gets stuck. I have an overjet and an overbite. I went for an invisalign consultation and the lady said she could straighten the teeth but it wouldn't fix my jaw. I think my jaw is like this as I had a dummy til I was 5, my friend had her dummy til she was older and her teeth were the same. DP said I should get them done through the NHS? Is this a good option? How would I go about it and what would happen if anyone has experiences? Thank you.

I have an issue with my jaw and an overbite. I currently have fitted braces which I have had to pay for. It has to be very severe for the NHS to fund it to be honest.
I saw a private Orthodontist via my normal dental practice. It is a long process, but I can see the changes and I am happy with it.

Okay thanks. How long did it take to get seen by the orthodontist?
