When you stopped wearing foundation, what did you use?

Tinted moisturiser? CC cream? Better face cream?
Fed up of the foundation marks on masks so hit me with some ideas!
I have roseacea on my cheeks so I like having some kind of cover but it’s not super important, it seems less prominent as I get older.

Just a subtle fake tan.

Cazzovuoi · 28/06/2021 07:16

I use a CC cream from Kiko. The Skin Trainer CC blur. It’s the best alternative to foundation I’ve ever used.

bigbaggyeyes · 28/06/2021 07:17

Good moisturiser, in the summer then nothing more, in the winter BB cream

Providora · 28/06/2021 07:18

Most days I just use concealer on the bits that need it.

OverByYer · 28/06/2021 07:19

Trinny BFF cream. I use concealer under my eyes and that’s it.
Currently adding fake tan drops to the cream as well

AgnesNaismith · 28/06/2021 07:22

I also have rosacea (and melasma) and use a tinted spf 50. Elizabeth Arden is nice but doesn’t quite suit my skin tone and I preferring the cheaper Ultrasun version. On top of that when needed for my eye bags I use lightening eye concealer.

HarebrightCedarmoon · 28/06/2021 07:28

When I wear make up at all, I use concealer and powder but not foundation. I've hardly ever worn foundation as it just feels too heavy on my skin.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 28/06/2021 07:33

Bb cream

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 28/06/2021 07:33

I use blusher on my cheeks to cover rosacea

biglittleliar · 28/06/2021 07:59

Go to a dermatologist and get treatment for the rosacea! I've had mine lasered, plus using Mirvaso every day means that I no longer need to use foundation at all, and just use SPF and dots of concealer where necessary.

DinosaurDiana · 28/06/2021 08:00

BB cream, and in the summer just bronzing powder.

myfuckingfreezer · 28/06/2021 08:05

I've spent about a year dealing with my redness so that I can stop wearing foundation. Azealic acid (sp) has been a godsend!

LunaTheCat · 28/06/2021 08:15

My puppy stole my tinted moisturiser so I used just my Hourglass Mood Light powder and it looked wonderful!

GeidiPrimes · 28/06/2021 08:26

If I'm making an effort a little Tarte primer, it's very blurring. Otherwise nothing apart from hyaluronic acid and moisturiser. It pisses me off that society indoctrinates women that our faces aren't fit to be seen without layers of make-up.

Malibukev · 28/06/2021 08:28

Avon's radiance tinted moisturiser is lovely. It gives a nice glow but kind of looks and feels like you're not wearing anything.

undercurrent15 · 28/06/2021 16:14

Fantastic, thank you so much for all your recommendations so far!

Trinny BFF.

grasstreeleaf · 28/06/2021 18:29

I just use a pressed powder, just enough colour in them for everyday wear for me. If I've any blemishes I spot conceal with a loose mineral powder foundation (literally just dot on with a blush and then blot with a clean brush to blend) - it has amazing coverage but can look 'flat' on me if used all over my face.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/06/2021 18:30

Double wear doesn't come off on my mask.

Minesnotahighhorse · 28/06/2021 20:38

Erborian BB Creme au Ginseng was a game changer for me and my 40-something redness prone cheeks. Blends in effortlessly and ticks that 'your skin but better' box.

wiltingflower · 28/06/2021 21:12

Foundation or BB cream plus creme puff and blusher but with a setting spray

Bryonyshcmyony · 28/06/2021 21:13

Rosalique. It's amazing. Takes all the red out. I don't wear foundation anymore (I'm 55).

emsyj37 · 28/06/2021 22:12

Erborian Anti Redness Correct CC cream, bit of concealer, bronzer, cream blush.

Shmithecat2 · 28/06/2021 22:13

Clarins BFB, concealer, and maybe some HD powder if needed.

hugoagogo · 28/06/2021 22:15

Either bb cream or foundation mixed with moisturiser. It still messes up my face masks. What can you do?
