Best sandals for plantar fasciitis

Oh wise ones of MN, please help a girl out!! I’m in my 30s and need some sandals for the summer but I have plantar fasciitis. When searching on tinterweb all I find are sandals that my 90 year old grandma would wear. Please give your tried and tested recommendations, TIA

When I had it after DS was born, Birkenstocks were recommended by the podiatrist I went to

I can wear Dr Martens, Clark Airwalk, Merrell

I have 3 pairs of Birkenstocks which I’ve had for years (think at least 10 yrs) but the don’t have straps round the back of my heels so when I walk I clench my toes. I’ve been told that clenching my toes causes more pain and makes the condition even worse 🙄
