A non padded plain bra for tween dd

Dd (11) is starting to need more support than her crop tops can provide.

I've done the clever bra measuring calculator thing and she's a 28-30DD. however she does not want a grown up bra with any lace or padding or embellishments.

Can anyone reccomened where to look?

At that age my DD liked Nike sports bras.

@Frumpypigskin Boob or bust calculator is a good one www.booborbust.com/

My 14yo is still insisting on crop top styles. She hates the fastening and adjustments of bras. Fortunately she is slim in the rib, and not too full, but I think it's getting to the point I need to get her measured properly. She needs sports bras too - I think her ideal will be to find a really well fitting sports bra and just wear that all the time.

Any help on measuring and sports bras?

Sports bras tend to be tight on the band. So if between sizes, you might want to go up.

Read the reviews for the style you like.

After trying many the best ones she settled on were john lewis from the children department. Surprisingly m&s were the worse!

Lots of teenage bras have very small bands and are sized by the classic system not the more recent one of rib size equalling band size.
Also girls and women with small backs who are also thin, may find the rib size=band size uncomfortably snug and want to size up.
My dd as mentioned upthread measures 24/25 ribs but has various bras that do fit in a 28, even a couple in a 30. The M&S 28 and 30 can be very small, as they use the classic sizing method still.
My younger dd who is 24” ribs or even smaller, has this Wacoal triangle bra in a size 30 that is teeny tiny around the band.

Thanks for all the suggestions, will get dd to have a look at the links reccomened on here and we can order a bunch to find her favourites.

@Frumpypigskin I used the boob or bust calculator

@LucysSkyDiamonds dd currently has a broken elbow and so I've had to help her get dressed over the last few days. Crop tops are a bit of a struggle to put on with a full arm cast so I suggested a bra might be a bit easier for her to wear. She was totally up for it but when we went into a few shops in town they all seemed padded, or lacy, or push up, or just generally too adult. It was surprisingly difficult to find compelty plain bras for her, hence me turning to mumsnet for ideas.

sports bras are a good suggestion too, but obviously her arm will have to heal a bit more before she'll be able to attempt to wrangle herself into one.
