YSL Touche Eclat

Morning. My radiant touch pen has just stopped clicking and I’ve looked online to buy a new one but there are so many shades and coverages. I need the original, I think.

How do I find out which is my current shade, there is a 1 on the bottom, is that it? Has anyone tried the 0 or 1.5? And is there anywhere reliable that I can get it cheaper than £27?

I swear last time I bought it there was only shades 1,2&3 so I’m confused. Help!

I always buy it when Boots do a 3 for 2 on YSL. They stock the full range of shades.

Thank you, I’ll keep an eye out for that. The last couple of times I’ve bought one was on a flight, and I don’t think there was much choice offered. I believe it’s no1 I need, but apparently 0 or 1.5 might be better for my more yellowy skin tone.

The aldi version is just as good IMO

I’ve stopped buying it in favour of L’Oréal under eye concealer.

It’s £21.99 on Amazon at the moment. They definitely have shade 1 but not sure about others. I’ve tried 1.5 as my skin tone is a bit yellowy but actually prefer shade 1 so went back to that.

Hasn’t the Aldi version been discontinued? I’ve heard good things but thought it was no longer available.

I tried the L’Oreal one and found it was thicker and sat in my wrinkles a bit. I’ve tried other alternatives too but not yet found one quite as good as the original. Still searching!!

Thanks @LakeShoreD, you’ve swayed me to 1. Will stick to that until I can get to a YSL counter to do a comparison (or until I find something better / cheaper!)

I spent years thinking I couldn't live without touché eclat. But actually much prefer revlon photoready eye primer which is a fraction the price. It is lighter so goes on really easily. It's much easier to blend in to either bare skin /primer /tinted moisturiser. Perhaps if you wear foundation you wouldn't think it has enough oomph.

Secret keeper.
Very possibly, shows how often I buy make up.
Try the No7 version. I have 2 of those in different shades to match my summer & winter skin tone

Thanks, I’ll check that out. Realised it’s about 3 years since I bought two TE’s on a plane, have obviously got through less than normal during lockdowns!!
