Hair straighteners recommendations

For my 21st birthday I received some ghd's- they've just packed up 17 years later!

Now, ghd's were the best of the best at the time I got mine and they proved it with how long they have lasted me but obviously technology moves on and there are lots on the market now.

I don't mind spending on an investment piece that will last but are the mis priced just as good now?

Recommendations please!

The She straightener’s are very good. They are the old style GHD’s under a different brand name. Not the cheapest, but a lot cheaper than the new style-and in my opinion inferior-GHD’s.

To be honest I still prefer my GHD's (my current pair is about 4 years old which replaced a pair I got aged 14!) to whatever else I've tried.

I use and like Cloud 9s because I have thin, fine hair but nothing beats GHD reliability / shine IME Smile

I have
GHD's
I also have Cloud 9's. Both are good.

Year's ago I went away for the weekend and forgot my straighteners. I bought a pair of Remington Straighteners from Argos for £30. They were brilliant it's only recently they stopped working.

I have Dyson corrale straighteners. GHDs always gave me bad split ends but the Dyson haven't. I use them pretty much every day and my hair is so silky and has no fly away bits now. Well worth the money!

@ParkheadParadise I bought my Remington ones for £15 (reduced from £45) in a sale in about 2008(ish) . Still going strong. I had been thinking they would do as I was a bit skint at the time and figured I'd replace with GHDs when I had the money. Still waiting for them to give up so I can splash out on something fancy Grin
