I have £65 of John Lewis ‘credit’, I’m sick with my millionth (fourth) UTI since Easter and I have just had to cancel my weekend plans because of it.

What nice indulgent things (including clothes) can I buy from JL?
Im willing to top up the amount a little

Favourite perfume?
Alcohol / foodie treats

I'd probably spend it on beauty items if buying for myself but depends what you're into!

Procrastatron · 25/06/2021 14:29

I have a backlog of lovely perfumes so I’ll have to resist those. But I love beauty and fashion and I’m erring towards that area. I don’t ‘need’ anything beauty wise but i could be persuaded that I’m missing an amazing product from my dressing table

Oh ffs I've already posted this on a thousand other threads I'm actually boring myself now but can't stop myself........ Clarins double serum. JL have 15% off at the mo so you'll get bigger bottle for your money Wink

raffegiraffe · 25/06/2021 21:09

I don't know about JL but have you tried d mannose supplement? It sorted me right out when I had a run of UTIs. Its currently going through clinical trials but I don't think it has adverse effects

Haha, hello again my beauty twin! Was just coming to say that!
FreshFaceTime · 25/06/2021 22:16

@Geamhradh what a boring pair 😴😁

Walkashame · 25/06/2021 22:22

I'd get a candle! Dipytique.

HiHoSylvie · 25/06/2021 22:24

I bought a handbag from there recently for £75ish. It's by Matt & Dan who are an ethical brand I'd heard about so thought I'd try. Really love their ethos and the bag is great quality.

I very nearly bought a dress from Kin, which was a collab with someone (whose name escapes me). It is a beautiful printed a line dress in sort of sunsetty orange colour. It was £87.

I ordered a skirt instead of the dress by Kemi Telford and really regret it, as they sent the wrong fecking print and I've had to return it Hmm. I'm not reordering as it was for an event tomorrow. Wish I'd ordered the dress, so you can order it for me Grin

Sorry about the UTIs. I used to get them a lot and they are so painful Flowers

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/06/2021 23:13

I love the cutlery selection in JL ( the loose ones) I'd happily spend £65 on spoons .
My daughter is ashamed of me I tell you Blush

OK maybe some Molton Brown Orange&Bergamot showergel

Procrastatron · 26/06/2021 06:28

@FreshFaceTime and @Geamhradh thank you for the suggestion, I’ve tried it before but it just didn’t wow me sorry.

@raffegiraffe I have heard of this but I’m not sure it’ll work as my infection isn’t e.coli 😕

@Walkashame I haven’t heard of this brand, will have a look thank you, although I’ve just bought a neom pod…. Maybe I need more neom oils!

@HiHoSylvie is it this: www.johnlewis.com/kin-julmeme-ukiyo-e-print-dress-pink-blue/p5598148 it is on my radar but I’m not sure if it’s unbelievably amazing or a tent. I do love an oversized item though!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget you made me lol… I won’t throw you off the thread, one of my backup options is Joseph Joseph stacking measuring spoons… although that feels like joint account spend.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget, my guilty pleasure is deciding which Denby pottery dinner service I want....next. BlushGrin

FreshFaceTime · 26/06/2021 08:20

@Geamhradh oooooh we really ARE twins - I love a bit of Denby. Especially teapots Grin

Geamhradh · 26/06/2021 10:51
Grin
Iamthewombat · 26/06/2021 11:27

@Walkashame

I'd get a candle! Dipytique.
I came on to suggest the same thing.
Procrastatron · 26/06/2021 11:44

Update: the credit has been spent… on the dress that @HiHoSylvie may or may not have recommended.

I’m a bit better today so ventured into JL in person. The dress is gloriously swishy and beautiful

No ignore me liked at the sizes wrong 🤬

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/06/2021 13:08

The Nuxe dry oil sprays are absolutely lovely.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 26/06/2021 13:09

Ah, never mind, I see you've already spent it!

HiHoSylvie · 26/06/2021 19:16

Sorry @Procrastatron, yes it was that one! Glad you bought it and it's lovely! Super miffed about my skirt Hmm. May buy the dress.

Procrastatron · 26/06/2021 19:48

Buy the dress @HiHoSylvie! But read the review about how it’s cut and the colours near your face. Maybe order two of you can’t go to a shop

OP posts:
HiHoSylvie · 26/06/2021 21:22

Yes, I saw that review! I also am quite pale, so it could be not the right shade near my face if I get one that's cut that way.

Struggling to justify another summer dress, as I have a few, but I'm sure I can!

BernardBlackMissesLangCleg · 26/06/2021 23:02

i just bought myself this lovely green leather back pack from JL, it makes me happy

www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-leather-alina-backpack/p5625631

I had the green Kin one before but it started to look tatty due to not being leather, hoping this one fares better...
