It's really not my style, I'm far older than you but it wouldn't have been my style when I was in my 20s either.
It's a safe dress imo but as a pp said I'm not the one wearing it so once you love it and feel good in it that's all that counts!

I also love burgundy and black together, but it might push it from girly into a bit gothic.
