Waterproof trainers?

Are these a thing?

I teach primary so need trianers for PE. Other than that I'm not sporty so I don't tend to wear them for anything else.

However the latest pair of trainers I bought let so much water in! If I walk across a wet playground in those trianers my feet get wet!

Anyone recommend a decent pair of budget trainers that won't let the water in?

How much do you define as budget?

These are £40-50 online

Check out Decathlon for good prices and look at their trail trainers and walking trainers.

These aren’t exactly cheap, but they look decent. Definitely waterproof. You could look at hiking/camping shops, they sell them. Zalando is worth a try too.

Goretex trail shoes are excellent, and while not cheap may last longer than a 'budget' pair. DD had my ASICS waterproof trail shoes off me when she went to uni - they were a tad tight on me - lasted her nearly all the way through a 4 year degree with a lot of walking. I replaced them with berghaus for me which are still going strong.
Some of the karrimor shoes from sports direct are waterproof and may be cheaper.

I have a fab pair of Gore Tex Converse trainers that have been going strong for a couple of years now but they're not easy to find at the moment.

Leather trainers are a good. I find as long as you waterproof spray them once in a while they’ll keep the water out. Perfect for walking on dewy grass etc.
