Can anyone recommend a decent eye lash curler?

I have this one:

www.cultbeauty.co.uk/shiseido-eyelash-curler.html

I was happy with my cheapo one till I lost it. Bought this and it's a million times better!

Ditto the shiseido eyelash curler. One of the best on the market.

It's been out of stock for a while. It's due back in very soon but will likely go out quickly again so I would set up a notification on cult beauty and get it as soon as it restocks

shiseido eyelash curler
Thirded. I didn't think it would make much difference but it does.

fedup078 · 23/06/2021 20:43

Thanks . I've never even heard of shiseido

Also when you knacker the rubber pads as invariably happens, don’t replace the whole thing, just order replacement pads on Amazon.
I use to order a new Shu Uemura set of curlers every couple of years, and finding these pads has saved me a fortune!

It depends on the shape of your eyes. There isn’t a one size fits all at all. I have quite deep set almond shape eyes and find normal curlers far too shallow for the curve of my eyes . I now use half lash curlers like the Mac mini one, that way I can get right into the corners.

UnusuallyUsual · 23/06/2021 20:59

Can I ask whats so special about the shiseido one, it looks identical to my cheap one.

FreshFaceTime · 23/06/2021 21:42

@UnusuallyUsual they have these special magical powers that curl your lashes better and stay that way for longer. I thought all curlers would be the same till I tried these. One thing I noticed straight away was that the mechanism is so smooth. It doesn't jar when you open and close it, it just smoothly slides. Sounds so ridiculous writing it down and I'm not even sure I've explained it very well but they are just really nice to use. You can get replacement pads too. Not sure if it's the curlers or the pads that have the magical powers but something does the trick.

A heated one. When my old one died I struggled to find a replacement but found a cheapy one on Amazon that is brilliant.

PurpleyBlue · 23/06/2021 21:47

It might just be that it fit my eye shape better than the previous ones I'd used. Or the previous ones might have been terrible!

I use the MAC one, used to use the Shu Uemura one for years until they decided to stop selling over here. MAC comes a close second, I replace it yearly, I think they loose their springiness which is what gives a good curl.

shiseido All day long! Best place for all sorts of beauty tools imo
