Quick! Outfit help.

Dinner put. Wedding anniversary. Nothing fancy restaurant wise but I want to look nice.
Tell me what YOU would wear especially if you're size 14/16 and short and dumpy.

Either:
Midi dress with shoes or boots to dress up/down as needed; or
Cropped wide leg jeans, blazer and block healed mules/trainers as above

Any good? Or I've a white and navy blazer I could shove with jeans. Comfier but maybe too scruffy

What style necklace if wearing the frock? And shoes? Got flat gold sandals or white trainers? Or silver heels. Or bronze heeled wedges. Tricky walking mind as out of practice

Dress looks nice but if you know in your heart you'd be happier in jeans and blazer, wear that, it's smart enough for dinner out.

I think we need photos of the shoe options and then we can make a call on jewellery that is in balance.

I’m drawn towards the idea of a gold shoe, hair up and gold hoops if you have them.

Husband said dress is "over the top" and my teenager had just had a massive strop at me so I'm out of dress and may as well put pjs on and stay in. FML

OP you look lovely in your dress - wear it & feel fab.
Ignore the stropping teen, put your dress back on & go drink a large glass of wine / cocktail / bubbles with your dh & remind yourselves why you married each other !
