Not so little black dress

Hello, I'm looking for a not so little black dress I can feel pretty in this summer.

I'm size twelve which as I'm so short is quite big for me. I'm working on getting back into my tens but it looks like it won't happen this summer and would love something beautiful and flattering.

And ideas please? My legs are still ok so short is fine. It's my upper body that I like to hide. So long sleeves might be nice but not a requirement.

I am a similar size to you I think and also have trouble with this kind of thing! Do you have quite big boobs?

What ‘shape’ are you? Dresses that look great on hourglasses, don’t flatter apples (voice of bitter experience). What’s your budget?

I'm actually a b cup so really small boobs for my size. I was an a cup before weight gain but I have big arms and a broad back.

Not a huge budget. I'd love something fun and dressy though.

Boden have some lovely styles this year and a lot of their dresses come in black (as well as the prints they’re more known for). They also do petite sizes for under 5ft 4.
